During Covid restriction, the Ball committee have been able to meet on line. Here's our latest announcement.

The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee met in an online meeting on Sunday 16 August 2020. We are now pleased to announce that on Sunday 11 October, 2020 representatives of the Committee will attend Ronald McDonald House Westmead to make the official presentation on this year's donation of $10,000.

We will also be drawing the 2020 NSW Line Dance Ball major raffle with the assistance of RMH management. The draw will be filmed live and be available to watch on the Ball Facebook page.

We appreciate everyone’s patience regarding the raffle draw, however it was important that we were able to organise a completely transparent event and all former plans have been continually thwarted by Covid-19 restrictions. We are confident these current plans will be able to go ahead.

NSW Line Dance Ball

The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee met last weekend to wrap up the unfortunate cancellation of this years Ball and to commence the planning and organising for next years event. The date to put in your diaries for next years Ball is Saturday 10th April, 2021.

As part of the wrapping up of this years Ball, the drawing of the Raffle was discussed. In line with recommendations from the Department of Fair Trading, no further tickets were sold after Saturday 18th April, 2020. In order to draw the raffle with the utmost transparency, we have been waiting until restrictions ease, and social events are able to be held, that will enable us to conduct the official raffle draw. When we are able to finalise an appropriate place, date and time we will inform you of that information.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 Ball, all ticket sales were refunded. However, with the money from the sale of raffle tickets, the money raised through fund raising events held in the build up to the Ball and numerous personal donations, we are pleased to announce that we are still able to make a $10,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney this year.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Maddison Glover who held an online workshop on Saturday April 18, 2020 of her dance, Southern Dreams, which she had choreographed for this years Ball.

Thank you for your continued support and if there is anything we can help you with regarding the NSW Line Dance Ball please don't hesitate to contact us via our email address;-  nswlinedanceball@gmail.com

attended Ronald McDonald House Westmead & were shown around the newly built complex and Room 116, the room sponsored with the funds raised at the 2018 NSW Line Dance Ball.  Great Job everyone from the Committee & to you, the Line Dancers. The money we raise together is doing great things for the children , their families & the community.

The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee is pleased to announce that, despite the cancellation of the 2020 Ball in April, and due to Raffle Ticket sales and the generosity of our line dance family, we have been able to donate a total of $10.000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney this week.

Many thanks to all those who purchased and/or sold raffle tickets, and of course those Instructors who held Fundraising events prior to Covid-19 restrictions. We are also grateful to those who were able to make a donation of their Ball ticket refund.

Information regarding the upcoming official draw of our major raffle will be available soon.

The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee met on Sunday 22 November, 2020 and decided to officially cancel the 2021 Annual Ball. The decision was not made lightly, but the committee felt that there was no guarantee the ball, in its usual form, would be able to go ahead.
We have invited Instructors from NSW to conduct concurrent fund-raising socials on or near Saturday 10 April, 2021 as an alternative event to the ball. We have received positive responses to this invitation. All monies raised at these events will be in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney.
We invited Maddison Glover to workshop a dance prior to the commencement of the 2021 ball and she is still happy to choreograph a dance especially for our fundraising activities. Further details regarding this will be acknowledged in the new year.
Ronald McDonald House Charities will organise a Fund Raising Event page on their website where these events will be advertised. Our NSW Line Dance Ball Facebook page and our website will also advertise these events.
We would love you to join us, so that together we can continue to raise much needed funds from the Line Dancing Community for Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney in 2021.
