On Sunday 8th March, 2020, 40 line dancers, their family and friends joined in for our third Annual Ten Pin Bowling Challenge, fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Westmead. This year the Hawaii 5.0 team won the perpetual trophy donated by Kerry Walker in 2018, with runners up Red Hot coming a close second to the Champions.
The players from all over Sydney enjoyed an afternoon consisting of 2 games and a pizza and soft drink lunch. A donation to Ronald McDonald House was included in the $30 entry price and we also ran a 100 Club and a “Double Dip” Raffle, whereby purchasing a NSW Line Dance Ball raffle ticket for $2 gave you the chance to win one of our prizes today as well as the chance of winning a prize at the Ball as well.
Many thanks to all those who attended, as players or as cheer squad, who donated prizes, who bought 100 club and raffle tickets.
And last, but not least, thank you to Robert Fletcher who negotiated with Lidcombe Ten Pin City to organise the day and his team of helpers who ran the raffles and 100 Club.
We hope you all enjoyed this light hearted challenge and we hope that more teams will consider participating next year.
